Join us at Accelerate MN Pledge to Grow 2012

Printz is very excited to be participating in a small business event, coordinated by the amazingly talented business coach Buffie Blesi, on Wednesday May 9th from 12-7pm. I invite you to personally join us and visit us at our booth. When you register at http://acceleratemn.com/event-registration/?ee=1you can save $15 off your ticket by entering Printz15.

The premise of the event is Take The Pledge to Grow By One Employee in 2012. At Printz we added 3 positions last year and while it is great when a small business grows rapidly and hires 50 or 100 people, the fact is most small businesses will never be in that position. But if each small business who has at least one employee hired just ONE new full time employee in 2012, we could add more than 115,000 new jobs and improve the business outlook and prosperity of our state and the people who live here. Even though Minnesota’s unemployment rate is improving and below the national average, there are a number of people who have quit looking or are underemployed and the economy still feels stalled. Small business owners have tightened their belts as much as they can and now need to look to the future and invest in it and their organizations. There are more than 113,000 small businesses.

Here is how it breaks down:
Minnesota Small Businesses by Number of Employees Firms with no employees 14,113
Firms with 1 to 4 employees 55,895
Firms with 5 to 9 employees 18,579
Firms with 10 to 19 employees 11,787
Firms with 20 to 49 employees 7,542 - This is where Printz sits currently
Firms with 50 to 99 employees 2,867
Firms with 100 to 499 employees 2,746
Total 113,529

In order for us to make the greatest impact, we need a very good crowd of entrepreneurs, small business owners and their staff to attend the event The day will have a Keynote Speaker, Tom Gegax and 6 breakout sessions, all designed to accelerate your growth and get you hiring! When you attend you will be able to choose 2 of the breakout sessions. We will be video taping all breakout sessions for you to view later.
