Printz is Moving January 29, 2016


In October of this year Printz, Postcardbuilder and Directmailtools were sold to The Bernard Group. Effective 2/2015 Printz will be located at the Bernard Group in Chanhassen MN. If you need to place an order go to www.printz.com or call 612-436-0007 .

As such we are looking for a tenant at 1499 West River Road to lease our space. The space is in the North Loop and has office and manufacturing/warehouse space. It has free parking and is beautifully located right on the River Road. 1499 West River Road for lease

Printing & Direct Mail Account Manager –
The Bernard Group, parent company of  www.Postcardbuilder.com, www.Directmailtools.com, www.Printz.com  and www.printzpromo.com has a position available for an inside sales print account manager that will consult with our clients to create, printing, direct mail and promotional product solutions.

You will be a member of our 14 person sales team, which falls under The Bernard Group’s small format printing umbrella. The Bernard Group is a 450 person 100% Employee Owned visual communications company that specializes in large and small format digital print and direct mail solutions.
We are looking for someone to provide customer service to our existing customer base as well as develop new business through referrals and uncovering new opportunities with their customers.  80% of your day would be spent following up on custom quote requests and facilitating orders and providing customer quotes. 20% of your day would be spent developing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have previous account management experience in printing or direct mail. Graphic Design background is a plus. You should be highly organized and detail oriented. This is a very fast paced environment with most of our printing jobs completed in one or two business days so you must respond to requests quickly. We will train on the specific products and direct mail programs that we offer but a natural problem solver who likes to create marketing solutions and solve puzzles would be ideal. You should be entrepreneurial, have great customer rapport and like a challenge.  All candidates should be proficient with computers and know the office suite of products. Working knowledge of Excel or Access databases would be helpful.

$26,400 base plus 6% commission on print sales – 10% on new business sales. Full medical and dental benefits plus 401K. First year compensation would be in the $32-35,000 range and would grow every year.

You will be a member of our 12 person direct mail sales team, which falls under The Bernard Group’s small format printing umbrella. The Bernard Group is a 450 person 100% Employee Owned visual communications company that specializes in large and small format digital print and direct mail solutions.

The idea candidate for this position is self-directed, entreprenurial and is comfortable with technology, able to think quickly on their feet and can consult with their clients on the phone to deliver a solution based sales approach. You should like building rapport with your clients on the telephone and be a great communicator with your written words.

Every day you will be provided leads from our web sites that will need help and consultation on printing, direct mail and promotional product solutions. Most of our clients are small-medium size businesses and will need you to walk them through the best solutions and strategies for their industries. We will train you on the types of direct mail marketing solutions but you should be a natural problem solver, with a sales aptitude who likes to create marketing solutions and has experience in consultative selling and helping people strategically work through their marketing challenges. You will be teamed with a graphic designer that will produce the printed and mailed pieces for your client’s campaign so you will need to be a good communicator and get your clients ideas across on paper as well as help them design custom offers designed to get the best response rates. Typical industries you will be working in include, Insurance, Home Improvement, Medical, Dental, Real Estate, Retail and Services.

You should be entrepreneurial in your pursuits and enjoy problem solving. You should be good at basic math and feel comfortable with computers and Excel as you will be working with data and producing quotes for clients so attention to detail is important. This job is very fast paced as you will be dealing with 8-10 new clients each day from many industries. You must be comfortable logging activities into contact management software and organized as you will be managing many mailing campaigns at once. College graduates with previous sales and marketing experience are a great fit for this opportunity as well as account managers or people in administrative roles that are looking to have more client interaction and increased income potential in a sales role.

The Bernard Group is an employee owned company with many opportunities for advancement for strong sales people.  $26,400 base plus 6-10% commission on print sales. You will be expected to chat with customers visiting our web sites and answer basic customer service questions while assessing opportunities for larger relationships and consultative sales opportunities you will be a member of our 12 person direct mail sales team, which falls under The Bernard Group’s small format printing umbrella. We are looking for someone with a great phone personality and the ability to work with a national client base to develop a direct mail strategy, printing and list purchase. We will train for the specifics of learning direct mail strategies, selling promotional products and printing to small businesses but you should be a natural problem solver who likes to create marketing solutions and has experience in consultative selling. All of your work will be on the phone handling warm leads generated by our marketing department. You will work with the clients to help them develop a successful marketing campaign based on their needs and what we typically see in their industries as marketing best practices. You will work with your client and our staff graphic designers to help them purchase a targeted mailing list, design and implement a successful postcard or letter mailing campaign as well as print items and promotional products.

You should be good at math and computers as you will be working with data and list management and also producing quotes for clients with lots of variables so attention to detail is important. This job is very fast paced as you will be dealing with 8-10 new clients each day from many industries. You must be organized as you will be managing many mailing campaigns at once. College graduates with previous sales and marketing experience are a great fit for this opportunity as well as Account Managers or people in administrative roles that are looking to have more client interaction and increased income potential.

All candidates should be proficient with computers and know the office suite of products. Working knowledge of Excel or Access databases would be helpful. We bring you the leads and you consult with the client via phone and email to create the marketing solution that will work best for their situation. You help the client work with our graphic designers to create print and mailed products that will meet their marketing needs.

Expected first year income is $32,000 with subsequent jumps each year of around $10,000 a year as your base of regular customers grows. Actual compensation is $26,400 base plus 6-10% commission on print and promotional product sales. Business casual office environment with a staff of 12 account managers with you on your team. Full medical and dental benefits plus 401K. North Loop Minneapolis location with Free Parking.
