Account Manager at Growing Direct Mail Company

Hammer Direct, parent company of www.Postcardbuilder.com, www.Directmailtools.com, www.Printz.com has a position available for a account manager that will consult with our clients to create direct mail, printing and promotional product solutions. Hammer Direct is a locally owned Minnesota company.

We are looking for someone with a great phone personality and the ability to work with a national client base to develop a direct mail strategy, printing and list purchase. We will train for the specifics of learning direct mail strategies, selling promotional products and printing to small businesses but you should be a natural problem solver who likes to create marketing solutions and has experience in consultative selling. All of your work will be on the phone handling warm leads generated by our marketing department. You will work with the clients to help them develop a successful marketing campaign based on their needs and what we typically see in their industries as marketing best practices. You will work with your client and our staff graphic designers to help them purchase a targeted mailing list, design and implement a successful postcard or letter mailing campaign as well as print items and promotional products.

You should be good at math and computers as you will be working with data and list management and also producing quotes for clients with lots of variables so attention to detail is important. This job is very fast paced as you will be dealing with 8-10 new clients each day from many industries. You must be organized as you will be managing many mailing campaigns at once. College graduates with previous sales and marketing experience are a great fit for this opportunity as well as Account Managers or people in administrative roles that are looking to have more client interaction and increased income potential.

All candidates should be proficient with computers and know the office suite of products. Working knowledge of Excel or Access databases would be helpful. We bring you the leads and you consult with the client via phone and email to create the marketing solution that will work best for their situation. You help the client work with our graphic designers to create print and mailed products that will meet their marketing needs.

Expected first year income is $32,000 with subsequent jumps each year of around $10,000 a year as your base of regular customers grows. Actual compensation is $26,400 base plus 6-10% commission on print and promotional product sales. Business casual office environment with a staff of 12 account managers with you on your team.
